New section being added to Writings of the Schizophrenic

Hello,

I am adding a new section to my Writings of the Schizophrenic web site.

This new section is entitled "My Shaping", and is intended to be a collection of articles about the development of symptoms, paranoid delusions, experiences with, possible causes of, and treatments for Schizophrenia as they apply to my personal struggle with it, along with stories about my life which show where some support for my previous delusional belief system came from.

I will also be covering the effectiveness of, and side affects, of drugs that were used to treat my Schizophrenia.

The stories I will be adding there, are primarily intended to enlighten anyone who has any interest in learning about the psyche of the Schizophrenic mind, as told by someone who has been afflicted with it themselves.

Hacker group sets Time's poll vote count to their requirements.

Hi everyone!

The article I am going to link you to here includes an interview between the journalist of the article, and the hacker that managed to precision hack the results of the Time Magazine's online poll of who the most influential person is. They chatted on an irc channel to complete the interview.

The fun thing about this article is that I understand the hack, I should, they fully explain it in detail in this article, and I actually have the tools right here on my computer to easily duplicate the hack.8-)

One of the posted replies to the article from the crowd, spills the beans on the precise information needed to bypass Time's lame attempt to validate the voters, making it possible to write my own vote hacking scripts in simple Linux bash scripts, utilizing the wget command to send the vote requests.

Inside the precision hack.

I'm beginning to think that most of the hackers are using an operating system like Linux or BSD, due to the many hacking tools I have discovered are part of the Linux software repositories, available as free, open source programs anyone can use, and examine the source code of, to add their own improvements.

Due to this availability, I now have software that allows me to scan remote computers for security problems that can be taken advantage of. I am thinking of starting a "White Hat" hacker service of scanning remote computers for a small fee, and providing a Security Report to the computer's owner.

I will need a bit of practice with the scanning program, as well as needing to continue to educate myself on what vulnerabilities exist to realize this service. Keep watching to see when I start this service.

Very nice depiction of table of elements.

Hello,

The link I'm sending here is to a page which shows the periodic table of elements as an arrangement of samples of the elements themselves in the same arrangement as the normal periodic table of elements is listed.

It makes for a very striking picture, and the page further links to many more pages which explain each element in detail. You can even learn interesting details like how to extract hydrogen from water, with a simple nine volt battery and two paper clips, or more productively, with two carbon rods, an array of batteries or other DC source, and bottles to catch the bubbles of hydrogen and oxygen as they boil off of the carbon rods, as explained on this page as well.

Note that there are links on the right side in the picture immediately above the periodic table of elements, which lead to numbered sizes of pages from 1 to 9, with larger and larger images of the periodic table of elements on each higher numbered link, in case you can print at any of the larger sizes.

The site also sells posters of the periodic table of elements as depicted in the image on this page.

I'll be adding a Science page at Ray's Links soon, so have a look when I get it there. 8-) Sorry if it isn't there yet, I need to gather enough links to make it interesting first.
