On The Inside

Life can get so very hard,

on the inside of your head,

when you don't want to do right.

Life can get so very hard,

things just boil around,

filling your head with fright.

You should, you shouldn't,

you want to, you know you can't,

'till it goes on all night.

Life can get so very hard,

on the inside of your head,

when you don't want to do right.

You do it, you lie,

you're found out, you cry,

now you know you're not so sly.

No one will know,

isn't that the way it will go,

but you remember don't you.

Life can get so very hard,

on the inside of your head,

when you don't want to do right.

It's deep in the past,

somehow it just seems to

last and last and last.

You made the wrong decision,

was it really so fun,

now that your brain's on the run?

Life can get so very hard,

on the inside of your head,

when you don't want to do right.
